Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is a powerful phablet, having most of the the features expected from such an expensive device. But what really sets it apart from others is its 3D Tango technology, which is an augmented reality platform developed by Google. To provide an extensive usage of this innovative feature, a special app store has been promised by Lenovo that will contain apps which can be used with the help of this tech. Initially it will contain only 25 such applications but within a year is expected to come up with atleast a hundred apps

First device that features Google 3D Tango technology
Design and Display
Lenovo Phab 2 Pro features a massive 6.4-inch IPS display of quad HD resolution retaining enormous pixel density of 459ppi. The device comes in a metallic body weighing 260 grams and is available in two colour variants (Champagne Gold and Gunmetal Grey).
OS and Configuration
The phablet comes preloaded with Android v6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system. The device is well equipped to deliver fast performance riding on a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor. It is paired with a mammoth 4GB of RAM that ensures smooth functioning regardless of the number of applications running on the background. Its Adreno 510 graphic processor gives it the power to run even the most high end games available without showing any lags.
Camera with Google Tango tech
The device is armed with a 16MP rear camera with autofocus and an LED flash. The primary highlight of this device is the 3D Tango augmented reality technology developed by Google, which adds a wide-angle camera and depth-sensing unit to the main camera. With the help of this tech, the phablet can map out a physical space, track objects, and place virtual objects in a physical space. It can also help you navigate indoor places or provide information about the objects it is viewing. This new Tango technology is a smaller and improved version of the Tango camera options available in tablets and functions the same way. Lenovo plans to develop multiple apps that can be used using this feature, such as VR shooting games, an educational app that navigates the Museum of Natural History and many more. It also comes with an 8MP front camera having an aperture of f/2.2.
Connectivity and Sensors
The phablet features a wide range of connectivity options such as 4G, Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n/n 5GHz, Mobile Hotspot, GPS, and microUSB 2.0. The device comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back, along with other sensors like ambient light, proximity, accelerometer, compass and gyroscope.
Sound, Storage and Battery
Lenovo Phab 2 Pro’s speaker features Dolby Atmos technology, thanks to which the phablet provides an amazing audio experience. The device houses a large 64GB space as its inbuilt storage that can be further expanded upto 128GB using the Hybrid SIM slot if you are not using only one SIM on it. The power required to keep this device running is supplied by a 4,050 mAh li-polymer battery which is non removable.
